Disperse-print microfiber bedding fabric is produced using disperse dye chemistry applied to polyester microfiber through either direct printing or heat transfer processes, with dye fixation achieved at elevated temperatures of approximately 200°C. At this temperature, the polyester fiber structure temporarily transitions to a more open state that allows disperse dye molecules — specifically formulated for low water solubility and fine particle size — to migrate into and bond within the fiber's interior structure.
This makes disperse printing the appropriate technical choice for bedding products positioned at quality tiers where long-term color performance is a procurement requirement and a consumer expectation. The preservation of the base microfiber fabric's hand feel through the disperse printing process is a performance advantage of particular significance in bedding applications.
